The Many Faces of Alain

Is it just me, or do most adults take themselves too seriously? Some time ago, I made a discovery. It's fun to make faces at yourself in the mirror.

Maybe you think I'm crazy, but trust me. Making faces at yourself is good mental hygiene. Try it sometime. When you are feeling a little down or grumpy, walk into your bathroom. Look at yourself in the mirror. Glare at yourself. Make it a good glare--express your grumpiness. Then tweak the glare. Curl up one end of your mouth. Point your nose up. Gradually experiment with the faces you can make. Relax. Laugh at yourself. It's good for you. You might even discover that it helps you forget the difficulties of your day and lifts your mood.
